Fireside Videographer & Editor, Ryan O’Connor
Ryan O’Connor, Sound & Screen Video Designer
I’ve always been drawn to art and visual storytelling. I pursued my passion for video production at the Ohio Center for Broadcasting and then, spent the next 16 years working as a television news photojournalist in Colorado, New Mexico and Connecticut. Throughout the years, I had the privilege of capturing all types of stories – from honoring WWII veterans to covering political campaigns. I worked on the investigative team at KRQE News 13 in Albuquerque – uncovering important issues with statewide impact. And much like Tom and Naomi, I happily found my way to Fox31 News in Denver before joining the Fireside Production team.
I’m a California native, who grew up surfing in Huntington Beach and hanging out at local skateboarding stores in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. As a teenager, I sold my surfboard and picked up a snowboard after my family relocated to Loveland, Colorado.
I completely fell in love with the mountains. I met my best friends rock climbing, mountaineering, kayaking, mountain biking and hiking Colorado’s famous fourteeners. Those same friends tried to get me to eat Rocky Mountain Oysters, but “I’LL NEVER DO THAT!’’ If you don’t know what Rocky Mountain Oysters are, Google them!
So, you can imagine my excitement when I was asked to join the Fireside family. I’m looking forward to investing my passion for videography and editing into your video stories and getting to celebrate those stories with you.
