Fireside Partnerships Specialist, Kristin Massoletti
Kristin Massoletti, Community Champion
I have always loved production, but more from a project manager and event planner point of view. It wasn’t until working with Fireside on the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Awards that I really fell in love with the creative process behind the video production. The people on the team are also dynamite! After three years partnering together for the Business Awards videos, it was a dream come true when I was asked to join the Fireside team. My strengths focus around business development, client relationships, community engagement and building the Fireside brand. It looks like my love of engaging in meaningful conversations and hearing people’s stories has paid off!
I am a Colorado native and a lover of family, food, travel and animals. Even though my great state is landlocked, I grew up with a passion for swimming and sports. I swam competitively until college and when I was not in the pool or at school, my older sister, Jenna and I traveled with our mom. We visited landmarks in the U.S. from coast to coast and then, overseas in Italy, France, England and all over the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. Every summer, my dad took Jenna and my little brother, Dalton and I to Texas to visit our big crazy Italian family in Lake Jackson. Community service, volunteering and giving back were always big pillars in my family. Growing up, I spent a lot of time serving at the Denver Rescue Mission, delivering meals for Project Angel Heart and raising money for our church and for families in the community. Oh, and go Broncos!
I have always had a big imagination and to be honest, I have always been very chatty. I am inquisitive and genuinely interested in getting to know people… even if we don’t speak the same language. When I read old report cards, teachers often said, “Kristin is a distraction in class” or “Kristin is a leader and engages in spirited conversation with her classmates, which can sometimes be distracting.” I chuckle at that now because while that is mostly a negative thing in school and while growing up, it is one of the most important attributes that has shaped my professional career.
I earned a B.A. in International Spanish for the Professions at University of Colorado at Boulder. I was President of Chi Omega Sorority and volunteered a lot of my time in the Student Worker Alliance Program teaching English to non-English speaking faculty and maintenance technicians. I also planned events for Make-A-Wish Foundation and worked at a catering company on weekends and holidays to make extra cash.
I studied abroad in Palma de Mallorca, Spain and knew my calling was international communication in customer service and hospitality settings. When I graduated, I began working at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce in the Events and Programs Department. There, I spent the next six years planning all sizes and levels of events. From small content-driven programs to golf tournaments, 1000+ person technology tradeshows and business luncheons at the Stock Show and my favorite, the annual Business Awards luncheon!
