Day of Service – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Posted on: December 4th, 2018 by Naomi Binkley

It is the type of experience that takes your breath away.

There’s the joy and gratitude of those who have faced blood cancer and have heard those glorious words, “You are in remission.”  There’s the love of families and friends there to celebrate survivors.  There’s sorrow too.  It is a night to remember.  It’s a night to reflect on those we’ve lost.  And there are the lights… the lights of hope that sparkle in the night sky.  Lights that dance through Denver’s Washington Park carried by the multitude… all of those people who have come together for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Light The Night Walk.

For our fall 2018 Fireside Day of Service, we walked… but that was only the culmination of our giving to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  First, we fundraised.  With the generosity of our families, friends and Fireside supporters, we raised $4,215 to help LLS fund a cure for blood cancers and support patients and their loved ones.  Thank you for making that gift possible!

Enjoy this video tribute to our Fireside Day of Service with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!  If you have an idea for our next Day of Service, please get in touch.  Each quarter, the Fireside team spends a half-day to volunteering for a non-profit Client.  We’d love to make a difference for your organization.
