Meet Eric Hoffman
Hello! I’m Eric and I am the newest member of the Fireside Production team. Life is full of unforeseen opportunities and turns, and it was one of those occasions that brought me here. Where was I and how did I land at Fireside? Here’s the thumbnail history: I’m a fourth-generation Coloradoan, born in Colorado Springs. After college, I spent more than a decade and a half working in local television news. I started in 1997 in Toledo, Ohio at the CBS affiliate – where I met my beautiful wife-to-be, Robin. In 1999, we moved Norfolk, Virginia, where I worked for both the ABC and CBS stations. I jumped at the opportunity to move back to my home state in 2003 and spent a decade working at Fox31 and 7News. I’ve covered everything from live reports near Ground Zero in the days following the 9-11 attacks and the DNC in Denver in 2008 to the World Series and NBA Finals.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be recognized with some very humbling awards, but I can honestly say the relationships I’ve built with people have been my most gratifying reward. One of those special relationships was getting to know Tom and Naomi a decade ago. In spring of this year, they called and asked me if I would considered joining them at Fireside. It was a humbling moment and my family and I didn’t take long to jump at the opportunity.
I’ve always believed deeply in the use of pictures as a storytelling tool and, as such, I treat every shot as an opportunity to share the powerful messages of Fireside Production Clients. I think my news background also brings a fast-paced and diverse work experience without compromising quality. But shooting and editing are only part of the equation at Fireside Production, which is why I’ll always emphasizes positive Client relationships. My hope is that every interaction with Fireside is an uplifting, positive and rewarding experience.
My wife, Robin, and I will soon celebrate our 13th anniversary. We have an 8-year-old son and recently welcomed a daughter into our home in May of this year.
